In creating the development areas “Wildor-Hollmann-Straße”, “Leonhard-Jansen-Straße” and “Brachter Mühle”, the municipality emphasised the establishment of an environment suitable for families.

In Brüggen our motto is: “No development area without infrastructure”.

As a result, we had an obligation in planning the development areas to ensure that childcare facilities, schools, healthcare and shopping opportunities are available in the immediate vicinity and accessible on foot or by bicycle.

Objectives of our Urban Development Concept

  • Opportunities for the construction of diverse, individual detached and semi-detached houses
  • Properties facing south or south-west as far as possible
  • Street layouts in the development areas planned with generous public green spaces
  • Potential builders can choose from lots with a size of 250 to 580 square meters

The purchase price is EUR 178.00 per square meter for the  Wildor-Hollmann-Straße and Leonhard-Jansen-Straße development areas, and EUR 167.00 per square meter for the Brachter Mühle development area. This includes developments costs pursuant to the Town and Country Planning Code (Baugesetzbuch) and the Municipal Tax Act (Kommunalabgabengesetz).

In order to once again underscore municipal support for families, discounts for families with children are granted in all development areas.

Since the following PDF documents are official plans and by-laws, we regret that extensive changes are not possible. As a result, our goal to implement a barrier-free site could not always be realised as well as we would have wished.
