Brüggen Municipal Primary School
The historic name of the Brüggen Kreuzherrenschule originated in the 11th / 12th century with the Kreuzherren order, also known as the Kreuzbrüder.
Starting in the 16th century, monks taught at the Kreuzherren monastery, now the community’s town hall, until finally all schools were combined into the Brüggen education centre.
Around 250 children are attending the Kreuzherrenschule (municipal primary school) today. Here they are prepared for higher education with contemporary education concepts and learning methods.
Promoting an interest in Brüggen, its history, its associations and its customs is also among the goals of our school.
Our dedicated parent's association not only supports the children after school but also during holidays and offers help with homework, workshops, sports and recreation.
The school’s development association provides financial assistance for the implementation of concepts and to purchase additional equipment.
