Integration: Learning from Each Other - Living Together
Integration is a multi-layered process with the goal of integrating people into society who want to live permanently in Germany. Immigrants should have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of society fully and as equals.
In order to make this happen, everyone has to pull together - immigrants and local residents alike.
“Growing Together”, the Integration Portal for Viersen District
Initiated by the Viersen district and the association for employment promotion (GFB), a new internet site under the name “Growing Together” has been launched for the Viersen district in order to provide a quick overview of interesting offerings in district towns and communities for members of the local population with a migration background.
The multilingual website in German, English, French, Russian and Turkish creates transparency about offerings and measures for migrants and thereby facilitates the integration process.
Topics include language, public authorities, health, culture and much more. The respective offerings and measures are recorded and published on the website.
The portal is a component of the integration process for migrants in the district. Current information is published in a timely manner.
