Who we are
We trace our roots far back in history, where Schleveringhoven Castle is first mentioned in the year 1403.
In 1955 the property was home to a hospital with 34 beds run by the Franciscan order.
The hospital was closed in 1969 and the municipal council passed a resolution to build a retirement home that opened in 1975.
It is sponsored by the Brüggen municipality to this day. Part of the former Schleveringhoven Castle still stands today.
