Treffpunkt für alleinerziehende Frauen
Das umfangreiche Programm des Familienzentrums Vennmühle wurde ab August 2007 um den Treffpunkt alleinerziehender Frauen erweitert. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Katholischen Forum Krefeld-Viersen und der Gleichstellungsbeauftragten der Gemeinde Brüggen haben alleinerziehende Frauen hier Gelegenheit, sich alle 14 Tage samstags in der Zeit von 15.00 bis 18.00 Uhr in den Räumlichkeiten der Vennmühle auszutauschen. Sie erhalten Informationen zu Trennung und Scheidung, erleben Verständnis und Solidarität und können Kontakte zu Frauen knüpfen, die sich in ähnlichen Situationen befinden. Das Angebot ist kostenlos. Qualifizierte Kinderbetreuung findet statt.

Association of Single Mothers and Fathers
The new community portal of the association of single mothers and fathers has been on-line since July 2009: Here single mothers and fathers have the opportunity to exchange information on anything related to them and their children. The portal sets innovative standards in terms of appearance and content.
Based on the idea to provide 2.6 million single parents across the country with a communication platform, the portal focuses on common topics:
- How do single parents live?
- How do they handle everyday life?
- What are their interests and how can they realise their dreams?
